I have a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from San Jose State University, and a Master’s degree from New York University’s ITP.

My work investigates the emotional attachment we have to objects, and explores how technology’s ubiquity stunts or spurs new human behaviors. I am particularly interested in the gray area between the designed object and our engagement with it. My interests span installations, wearable technologies and interactive sculptures.

My work is an outgrowth of my experiences as an industrial designer. For nearly ten years, I have designed medical, consumer and electronic products for start-ups as well as Fortune 500 companies. Along the way, I have scrubbed up for surgeries, stood behind the 2-way mirror during focus groups, and accompanied clients to interview users, their sales forces and distributors.

I am always on the lookout for interesting opportunities and collaborations, so if you'd like to contact me, please shoot an email to terence[at]arjodesign[dot]com
